Our Mission

Choral Excellence for Treble Voices is dedicated to the proposition that every student deserves to sing the finest choral literature.

This goal is becoming increasingly difficult to reach in a corporate-driven world where the best rationale is not always used to determine what music is published. Marie Stultz has dedicated her professional life to both finding the finest choral literature and teaching it to her students.

The information on this site and in the accompanying textbook can be your guide to meeting the mission of giving your singers the repertoire that they deserve to sing.

Suitable for all age groups.
Level I ~ The Beginning Singer: No matter what the singer’s age, everyone must begin somewhere. Beginning singing in Level I usually applies to the young child, but can apply to beginning singers of all ages.

Level II ~ The Intermediate Singer: This level is directed toward treble singers with about two years of singing experience.

Level III ~ The Advanced Singer : This includes all ensembles of advanced capability with at least 3 years of singing experience or singers who are carefully selected or are particularly gifted. College and women’s ensembles can fall into this category as well as the advanced adolescent ensemble.

Level IV ~ The Women’s Chorus
: The community woman’s chorus, the advanced college treble ensemble and the professional treble ensemble fall into this category. Under rare conditions, the advanced adolescent ensemble will benefit from these suggestions as well.

This project is based on ten pedagogical objectives. Some of these are more applicable at certain levels. Others require adjustments depending on the ability of the singing ensemble. All of these objectives will be discussed in more detail in Part II of this handbook and will be referred to throughout the entire text and on the website. Selection of repertoire that addresses the particular pedagogical needs of the ensemble is the cornerstone of the philosophy on which this entire program is based.
